SCR gas mixing valve, providing constant flow of O2, nitrox or heliox appropriate to depth.
Valve may be fitted to any of the Apocalypse rebreather range, to convert from CCR use to SCR. Primary application is for rescue rebreathers, where the loop is not breathed during descent. Valve ensures loop contents is breathable.
The operation of the valve is entirely hyrdostatic, using ambient pressure to adjust a set of orifices to provide the optimum flow rate.
The valve operates in parallel with the pure O2 CMF valve fitted to all Apocalypse range rebreathers. |
